Access the Greater Vancouver area by train, car, plane, or ferry. International airlines fly daily into Vancouver, while national flights also arrive into Abbotsford. Enjoy a romantic train ride into North Vancouver from Prince George or Jasper, or sail into Vancouver with BC Ferries from Victoria, Nanaimo, Gibsons, and the Gulf Islands. Commercial bus service is also available. Drivers navigate the region primarily on three major highways: the Trans-Canada (Hwy 1), which heads north from Vancouver to Lytton, then east across Canada; the Sea to Sky Highway (Hwy 99), which travels north to Lillooet; and Highway 101, which spans the length of the Sunshine Coast. Travellers can also access the region from the Okanagan via the Coquihalla Highway (Hwy 5) and the Crowsnest Highway (Hwy 3).
