British Columbia Whale Watching

The waters of British Columbia are home to Orca and Grey Whales year-round. British Columbia Kayaking is always an awe-inspiring experience. Out on the water in a kayak, a zodiac, or larger vessel, with nothing but mountains and sky and the salt air all around you is sublime in itself, but encountering a pod of whales is the experience of a lifetime. When you’re BC whale watching you can usually get quite close to the whales without disturbing them. Naturally curious and social creatures, whales will often approach your boat.

British Columbia whale watching is done in a respectful and sustainable way. Guides keep a close and knowledgeable eye on the movements of various pods and so you are generally guaranteed to see whales whenever you go out.

BC whale watching is to immerse yourself in nature at it’s most majestic. To witness these enormous, amicable sea-mammals in their natural habitat is an experience you’ll never forget.

Kayak with the Orcas

Coastal Spirit Expeditions operate the only sea kayak base camp right beside the world famous killer whale reserve and rubbing beaches, which results in exceptional Orca sightings. Since it is the closest camp to the Orca reserve, Orca and other whale encounters here are more frequent and closer than from any other site in Johnstone Strait.
